Videos and walkthroughs are the best. But i still would prefer to have something by my side to talk to, because you can ask questions if you don't understand something or have a certain problem that isn't explained in the video/tutorial.
Of course you can leave comments, but those answers might take weeks and than you don't have the problem anymore

For some PS tuts I prefer walkthroughs. If they are made good so that I can comprehend the stuff.
Video tuts are good, if I'm not familiar with the software (like SkinStudio - ^mrrste did a great tut for that).
