Text because you can translate it easy.

A walkthrough is the best way of tutorial, because you can get right to the point you are in doubt.

i prefer static image because, if i need to go back a few steps, i just have to scroll up and read at my own pace

A single image with text and images combined. Easy to save.

A guide actually. Never really liked video tuts, often when I find a tut, and then find out it's a vid instead of a guide, I don't watch it.

Depends on the subject, I think.

For some PS tuts I prefer walkthroughs. If they are made good so that I can comprehend the stuff.

Video tuts are good, if I'm not familiar with the software (like SkinStudio - ^mrrste did a great tut for that).

Videos and walkthroughs are the best. But i still would prefer to have something by my side to talk to, because you can ask questions if you don't understand something or have a certain problem that isn't explained in the video/tutorial.

Of course you can leave comments, but those answers might take weeks and than you don't have the problem anymore :giggle:

videos, with images and text on the page as well.
This way you get the warm, human feeling of the video, while you also get the accessibility and technologic...ness of the text and images.
