I respect the way each one has "to help", so let's avoid the religious drama and be straight to the point.
In my opinion, praying for Japan is just useless. And I'm christian. Praying helps and aids people... but no matter how much we all try, we cannot rebuild a house with prayers.
So, stop praying and do something useful. Or do both.
Donate directly to Japan's red cross, send medical supplies, find legitimate charities, donate via text message, donate through itunes, donate on facebook, donate your airline miles, spread the word, add donation links on your websites, etc.
GO JAPAN. My heart is with you.
And for the haters: James 2:14-17 "What good is it, my brothers, if someone says he has faith but does not have works? Can that faith save him? If a brother or sister is poorly clothed and lacking in daily food, and one of you says to them, “Go in peace, be warmed and filled,” without giving them the things needed for the body, what good is that?So also faith by itself, if it does not have works, is dead. "
this. I swear ,everyone was praying for japan last year, I didn't say it is a bad thing. However, when it came to donation, only few of them stood up. ;/
prayer combined with works is what helps a person. that's what james 2:14-17 is about. b/c if you lay around doing nothing to help progress that prayer then nothing will come of it.
